OKLAHOMA CITY – Vote Your Values has launched a voter education initiative to increase voter registration and engagement among all Oklahomans. Vote Your Values is a coalition of tribal nations and community partners. It is an inclusive, educational voting resource that informs and inspires every Oklahoman to accomplish more by working together.

The initiative’s launch includes the unveiling of voteyourvaluesOK.com, a one-stop resource for connecting Oklahomans with voter registration resources and information on upcoming elections. The website and accompanying social media channels also highlight voters from across the state sharing their personal set of values and principles that motivate them to vote.

“Oklahoma is strong because of its diversity,” Chickasaw citizen Matthew L. Morgan, a spokesperson for Vote Your Values, said. “Each Oklahoman has their own prioritization of values – important issues such as education, health care and tribal sovereignty. Vote Your Values honors this diversity of principles and encourages Oklahomans to make their priorities known through the election process. While the values of individuals, families and communities may differ, we can all agree that the best way to achieve progress is by working together. Dozens of tribal nations and community partners endorse this unified effort to educate voters and encourage voter participation among all Oklahomans.”

Vote Your Values is a nonpartisan initiative that does not endorse candidates. The group focuses on empowering voters to use their voices and advocate for their values at the voting box. By using online resources, in-person voting drives and social media campaigns, Vote Your Values will work to increase the number of registered voters and voting turnout throughout the state.

For those already registered, Vote Your Values provides resources to help others register and get engaged. The program will provide toolkits, newsletters, events and other collateral to tribes, organizations and voting advocates for use in their communities.
