Chikasha Ittafama (Chickasaw Reunion) May 4 - 5 at Kullihoma

KULLIHOMA - Hundreds of Chickasaws and guests will gather May 4-5 at Kullihoma for the 20th annual Chikasha Ittafama (Chickasaw Reunion). Chickasaw culture, tradition and fellowship will be featured at the reunion. Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m., Friday, May 4 with a meal, prayers and stomp dancing.

A full day of fun for the whole family is set for Saturday, May 5. Saturday events will include cornstalk shoot competitions, horseshoes, chunkey, artistic and educational demonstrations and more.

Everyone is invited to join in the domino tournaments scheduled for each evening in the council house. This game of skill brings Chickasaws together for friendly conversation and competition. A singles tournament will be played Friday, followed by a doubles tournament Saturday evening.

To reach the reunion site, take State Highway 1 east from Ada. Travel to the Kullihoma sign seven miles east. Turn right and travel three miles east and one mile south.
