Artesian Arts Festival May 27

SULPHUR, Okla. – Mark your calendar to attend one of America’s fastest growing Native American arts markets, the Artesian Arts Festival, Saturday, May 27 at the Artesian Plaza in Sulphur.

Hosted by the Chickasaw Nation, the Artesian Arts Market spotlights prominent Native artists from around the country and celebrates all forms of art.

Diverse art media and a variety of visual art including paintings, basketry, jewelry, sculpture, metalworking, bead work, textiles and pottery are featured at the Artesian Arts Festival.

A wide variety of musical entertainment, tribal dance demonstrations, art talks and food vendors is also planned, as well as a special area for children’s activities and a senior citizens’ arts and crafts booth.

Open to the public at no charge, the Artesian Arts Festival welcomed more than 5,500 attendees to last year’s festival. Accomplished artists representing 10 states and a number of Indian tribes participated in the 2016 Artesian Arts Festival.
